The National Transportation Safety Board gave its first update in its investigation of the Mexican navy ship that crashed into the Brooklyn Bridge over the weekend. The NTSB is still waiting for permission from the Mexican government to gain access to the Cuauhtémoc,

Two crew members aboard a Mexican Navy sailing ship died on Saturday night when the vessel drifted into the underside of the Brooklyn Bridge, smashing its masts and rigging.

The training vessel Cuauhtemoc could be seen approaching the iconic bridge over the East River, stern-first, before two of its masts hit the bridge.
