Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Trey Lance will start the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game against the Detroit Lions on Thursday in Canton, Ohio. Lance, 25, is expected to play into the third quarter before giving way to DJ Uiagalelei.

Football is back. For the first time since the Super Bowl, there will be a reallive football game played this week when the Los Angeles Chargers take on theDetroit Lions in the annual Hall of Fame Game on July 31.

On Tuesday, head coach Jim Harbaugh announced that Trey Lance will start the game at quarterback. Harbaugh added that Lance will play the first half and a drive of the third quarter. Undrafted rookie DJ Uiagalelei will then take over for the remainder of the game.
