Former Atlanta manager Fredi Gonzalez was working for MLB as an umpire supervisor when the Braves were playing in his current hometown of Philadelphia last week. He spent time catching up with his good friend Brian Snitker in the visitor’s clubhouse before the series opener.

The struggling Atlanta Braves are bringing back former manager Fredi González as acting third base coach. The team announced Monday that Matt Tuiasosopo, the previous third base coach, has accepted a role as minor league infield coordinator.
