India's top gas pipeline utility GAIL on Thursday said it signed a 10 year sale and purchase agreement with UAE's ADNOC Gas for delivery of up to 0.52 million metric tonnes per annum of LNG, starting 2026.

ADNOC Gas will start supplying LNG in 2026 from its Das Island liquefaction facility, which has a production capacity of 6.0 mmtpa. Established in 1977, Das Island is the third oldest LNG plant still in production globally and has shipped over 3,500 LNG cargoes to customers around the world.

GAIL (India) has signed a 10-year sales and purchase agreement with ADNOC Gas for the delivery of up to 0.52 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA) of liquified natural gas (LNG), starting in 2026, it said in a statement on Thursday.

The UAE’s Adnoc Gas has signed a 10-year deal with Gail India, the largest natural gas company in the Asian nation, to supply up to half a million metric tonnes per annum (mmtpa) of liquefied natural gas (LNG) starting in 2026.

Under the terms of the agreement, ADNOC Gas will supply six cargoes per year from its Das Island facility, which has an LNG processing capacity of 6 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA).

State-run GAIL (India) said on Thursday that it has signed a 10-year Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with ADNOC Gas for the delivery of up to 0.52 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of liquified natural gas (LNG) from 2026.
