The president of a marijuana company targeted in an immigration raid donated thousands of dollars to Democrats in recent years.

Authorities executed criminal search warrants in Carpinteria and Camarillo, California, on Thursday, the Department of Homeland Security said.

The DHS said 14 children were rescued from potential forced labor, exploitation, and trafficking. Glass House Farms denied those claims, saying it has never knowingly employed minors.

The day after federal agents conducted an immigration raid at a cannabis farm in Camarillo, family members returned to the area to look for loved ones who they say hid overnight.

Federal officers arrested around 200 undocumented people during raids at farms, and the FBI in Los Angeles posted a reward for an alleged gunman.

Federal authorities raided Glass House Farms for child labor violations, while records show the farm's president donated thousands to California Democrats, including Gov. Gavin Newsom.
