Hamilton's departure will mark the end of era at FSU, where head coaches – specifically in the Big Three of football, men's basketball and baseball – have been known for their commitment, longevity, success and impact.

Leonard Hamilton was the first Black player at Tennessee-Martin, the first Black assistant coach in the SEC when he took a job on Joe B. Hall ’s staff at Kentucky.

SMU Mustangs, it will be the final time in Leonard Hamilton’s career that he’s doing so in Tallahassee. With his 23-year-long tenure set to wrap at the season’s conclusion, we wanted to take the time to honor his legacy with a look at both the top moments from his time at FSU as well as the best players he’s had the privilege of coaching.
