PSV and Arsenal both have injury issues in attack ahead of their Round of 16 meeting in the UEFA Champions League.

PSV Eindhoven have signed former Arsenal striker Lucas Perez until the end of the season, the Dutch club said on Sunday, just over a week before they host the London club in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie.

The Spanish forward, who played for Arsenal between 2016 and 2018, has penned a deal until the end of the season to join Peter Bosz's PSV Eindhoven.

Arsenal are still without Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli in training as they prepare for their Champions League showdown against PSV Eindhoven this week. The Gunners will head to Netherlands for Tuesday’s last 16 first leg clash after failing to score in back-to-back Premier League games for the first time since May 2023.

A stale and stagnant offense continues to rely on the rearguard to put the team in the hunt for serious silverware. Arsenal are bidding to win their fifth Champions League game in a row for the first time since 2006, having finished third in the league phase and conceded just three goals along the way.
