JEREZ, Spain (Reuters) -Gresini Racing's Alex Marquez claimed his first MotoGP race victory at the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday to snatch the championship lead from his elder brother Marc, who crashed early in the race and finished 12th.

World championship favourite Marc Marquez is unable to explain the crash that handed the points lead back to his brother Alex at the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday. “And then maybe the tyre… [maybe] the bike changed a bit [compared to different rubber compounds earlier in the weekend] and I didn't think about it and then for that reason I made the mistake.
