Ozzy Osbourne dead at 76
Ozzy Osbourne, the lead singer and founder of heavy metal group Black Sabbath, died Tuesday. He was 76. Osbourne battled health issues for years.
Osbourne’s family did not immediately confirm his cause of death, but it follows a yearslong battle with Parkinson’s disease.
“Ozzy and I were sleeping in the back of the bus, and we got woken up by this huge, huge blast,” Sharon remembered. She recalled bassist Rudy Sarzo shouting, “Get off the bus!” while Sarzo added, “We all get out of the bus and we had no idea what was going on.”
The legendary late rocker Ozzy Osbourne was known for bizarre antics and wild acts, but his most infamous was biting off a dead bat's head in 1982.
Following the enormous success of The Osbournes, which ran for four seasons on MTV between 2002 and 2005, Ozzy Osbourne became a beloved member of society and was suddenly no longer seen as the standoffish musician who bit the heads off winged creatures.
