Russell Wilson is leading the New York Giants, but some are already looking past Wilson to the team's long-term quarterback situation.

Slayton, a downfield threat entering his seventh with the Giants, stands to benefit from the addition of Wilson, whose deep ball remains his go-to. Wilson has already demonstrated a propensity to throw down the field, even on concepts when an underneath receiver is the primary read, Slayton said.

Before the Giants' ninth practice of organized team activities (OTAs) on Thursday, head coach Brian Daboll spoke about Wilson's early impact. "It's been excellent. Not just on the offensive side of the ball, I'd say within the entire team, defense, special teams, he's a very good communicator," said Daboll.
