After they used their first-round pick to take a forward for the fifth straight year, the Kraken ran off four straight defenseman selections on Day 2 of the NHL draft.

After selecting forward Jake O’Brien with the eighth overall pick on the first day of the draft, the Kraken rounded out the weekend with a total of six selections: two forwards and four defensemen.

Right-handed defenseman Blake Fiddler of the Edmonton Oil Kings was the first of five draft picks made by the Seattle Kraken on the second day of the NHL Draft.
