President Donald Trump's suspension of reciprocal tariffs ends Friday and the United States has only managed a small portion of his goal for new trade deals.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C., will consider the legality of "reciprocal" tariffs that Trump imposed on a broad range of U.S. trading partners in April, as well as tariffs imposed in February against China,

Trump's sweeping tariffs are set to go into effect Friday. Since he postponed the biggest hikes in April because of market turmoil, Trump has announced an array of tariff levels with about a dozen trading partners.

U.S. and Chinese officials agreed to seek an extension of their 90-day tariff truce on Tuesday, following two days of what both sides described as constructive talks in Stockholm aimed at defusing an escalating trade war between the world's two biggest economies that threatens global growth.
