Rowling actually visited the location during the filming of the new Harry Potter TV series in the UK. “ Harry Potter ” author J.K. Rowling visited the set of the new TV series HBO is filming based on her books. The series entered production in July, with filming taking place at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden and elsewhere in the U.K. It is set to be released on HBO and HBO Max sometime in 2027.
New photos captured several cast members featured in the upcoming series filming scenes at the historic Ashridge Estate in the English suburbs on Monday, Nov. 10. The location has ties to the original films, as the Quidditch World Cup in the 2005 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire movie took place there.

Felton, 38, who starred as Draco opposite Isaacs as his on-screen father Lucius in the Harry Potter film series, joined the play’s cast at the Lyric Theatre in New York City last week. The long-running show is based on an original story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, and picks up 19 years after the events of the books and films.
