Dozens of schools across Eastern Iowa will be closed or delayed Tuesday amidst this week's freezing wind chills, including a two hour delay for the Cedar Rapids

The National Weather Service has issued an extreme cold warning for portions of western Iowa through noon Tuesday.

(Area) Harrison, Shelby, Pottawattamie, Audubon, and Guthrie Counties are in an Extreme Cold Warning until Noon on Tuesday. The National Weather Service says the dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as ten minutes. Dress in layers if you must go outside.
