A disturbance near the Texas coast has become Potential Tropical Cyclone One, but the greatest threat is flooding across Houston and Southeast Texas.
We're keeping an eye on the Gulf and a system that could develop into Tropical Storm Arthur. Regardless if it forms, it'll bring heavy rain into the Houston area.

The National Hurricane Center on Tuesday began advisories for a system expected to move into the Gulf that could become the season’s first tropical storm.
We’re tracking Potential Tropical Cyclone One that is spinning near Corpus Christi, TX. It is expected to move over the warm waters of the Gulf and potentially strengthen into Tropical Storm
The system only has a 20 percent chance for development, but even if it doesn't form, it's expected to send tropical downpours to Houston.
A tropical disturbance in the western Gulf will contribute to the risk for heavy rain and numerous flash floods across the South this week.
