Miami's weather this week includes scattered showers transitioning to clearer skies, with the highs fluctuating around the upper 70s to low 80s. Rain chances decrease with a mostly sunny weekend ahead.

With temperatures set to plunge into the 30s in Miami by Sunday and with wind chills below freezing in the 20s, some people are flashing back to Jan. 19, 1977 — the day it snowed in Miami. And as any grade school student knows, 32 degrees and under is freezing, and freezing can mean snow.

"I haven't seen something like this," says a National Weather Service meteorologist.

Miami's weather is set to change with a 50% chance of showers today and a cold front hitting over the weekend, leading to a freeze watch.
