There is a line of dying storms moving through the Twin Cities around midday Monday. It is still too early to say if these storms will limit the metro’s severe potential later in the afternoon.
KARE 11's John Zeigler said a warm, humid and unstable atmosphere could trigger severe storms and the risk of hail up to the size of a tennis ball.

Minnesota Power is also reporting 12 outages, with 743 customers affected. The largest is by Holman Lake and is affecting 645 customers in Taconite, Calumet, Greenway Township, Marble, and Coleraine. Superior Light & Power is not reporting any power outages.
Storms could pop Saturday and Sunday evenings before a more widespread threat for damaging storms arrives Monday in Minnesota.
