With the Browns finishing 3-14, Garrett — who rocked the NFL world this week by asking the Browns to trade him — had little chance to defend his NFL Defensive Player of the Year crown, which was announced Thursday night at the NFL Honors show here.

Cleveland has said that they won’t be listening to offers for Garrett. General manager Andrew Berry shot down a hypothetical trade that would have yielded the Browns a pair of first-round picks. “Correct. You can put that on the record,” he said, according to the team’s website.
