DETROIT (Reuters) - Electric vehicle startup Rivian Automotive LLC got a big boost from one of its investors on Thursday when Amazon.com announced it was ordering 100,000 electric delivery vans.

The Rivian Commercial Van (RCV) is America’s best-selling electric van after the first three quarters. The startup sold more vans than R1T pickups this year, but the numbers are slowly decreasing.

Rivian's 2026 guidance includes increasing vehicle deliveries to between 62,000 and 67,000 units, which would be up by 47% to 59% compared to 2025.
