Chelsea have thrown in a last ditch offer to try and sign Mike Maignan and a top AC Milan source has revealed their reaction. Today is the day where the first summer transfer window closes after only being open from the start of June.

Mike Maignan (29) wants to complete a move to Chelsea. As per L’Équipe, the France No.1 has told AC Milan that he will not be renewing his deal with the club. There is therefore an ultimatum:

Chelsea will not revisit a deal for AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan if the move is not completed before Tuesday’s transfer deadline. The Blues have been in negotiations with the Serie A giants for the French stopper as they haggle over a transfer fee.
