The Cleveland Guardians were rolling and playing some of their best baseball of the season coming out of the All-Star Break. However, they hit a roadblock in Missouri with a series loss against the Kansas City Royals. The Guardians split Saturday’s doubleheader but lost Sunday’s rubber match in a frustrating fashion.

Noah Cameron escaped a bases-loaded jam in the first before tossing five innings of three-hit ball Sunday afternoon, Maikel Garcia homered for the second time in three games, and the Kansas City Royals beat the Cleveland Guardians 4-1.

Jonathan India hit a three-run home run in the 10th inning to send the Kansas City Royals past the Cleveland Guardians 5-3 in the first game of a doubleheader.
