At the end of his figure skating performance, when the last note of his parents’ favorite song played in an arena packed with spectators and heavy with sorrow, Maxim Naumov dropped to his knees at the center of the ice. One of the possibly most heart-wrenching performances was that of Maxim Naumov, who skated in honor of his parents, Evgenia Shishkova and Vadim Naumov.

The Washington, D.C., event honored the 67 victims of the Jan. 29 crash, including six from the Skating Club of Boston.
