In their trade deadline preview, McDaniel and Passan named five potential suitors for Ozuna, while assigning the three-time All-Star a 70 percent chance of being traded by Jul. 31 at 6 p.m. EST.

Marcell Ozuna, whose contract is expiring, is the Braves’ likeliest trade candidate and could certainly bolster a contender’s lineup even amid a down year.

Spencer Strider didn’t mince words when he was asked about the frustration the Braves were feeling after a 2-4 homestand further damaged any lingering hopes of turning things around in the second half.

The Atlanta Braves seem like a team that could be soft sellers at the trade deadline. They are not likely to trade away players like Ronald Acuña Jr. or other superstars, but they could part ways with some pending free agents.
