Clay Holmes pitched out of trouble, and Ronny Mauricio hit a 456-foot blast, one of three Mets homers, in an 8-1 win over the Rockies Holmes stranded eight runners in scoring position, and opposing batters are now hitting just .120 against him in those situations

The Mets (41-24) own the best record in the National League  and will attempt to complete the sweep of the Rockies (12-52) on Sunday before returning home.
