There’s a chance for at least one Bostonian to snag an Oscar on Sunday at the 97th Academy Awards. Jeremy Strong has been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance as Roy Cohn in “The Apprentice.”

Celebrating the full-circle moment for the first-time nominee, Robert Downey Jr. recalled Jeremy Strong 'sleeping in the bleachers' outside of the 1993 Oscars.

Jeremy Strong has become one of the most respected actors of his generation, his role on the HBO series Succession a career-defining performance. Strong won an Emmy for his work on Succession, and he has now been nominated for an Academy Award in Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Roy Cohn in The Apprentice .
