While GM Don Sweeney may have angered some fans with his trade of captain Brad Marchand, team CEO Charlie Jacobs threw his support behind his hockey operations and the retool/rebuild that Sweeney initiated on Friday with the trades of Marchand, Charlie Coyle and Brandon Carlo.
The Bruins have decisions to make about Brad Marchand and other players. The post Bruins trade deadline updates: Brad Marchand, Brandon Carlo reportedly traded appeared first on Boston.com.
After trading away Brad Marchand, Charlie Coyle and Brandon Carlo, Bruins general manager Don Sweeney bristled at the idea that this has moved from a retool to a rebuild. That won’t be decided by what he says;
“Going to the Bruins for Carlo is prospect Fraser Minten and the Leafs' 2026 first-round pick. The 20-year-old center was a second-round pick (38th overall) by the Leafs in the 2022 NHL draft. He’s projected to become a third-line center." Grade: A
Brandon Carlo had a hand in some bad playoff memories for Leafs fans, while Scott Laughton of Oakville arrives from the Flyers with less recent post-season experience.
