Former Chicago Bears coach Matt Eberflus wasn't unemployed for long. The Dallas Cowboys made it official and hired Eberflus as their defensive coordinator. Eberflus' tenure with the Bears ended about as poorly as it can for a head coach.

According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, the Dallas Cowboys are closing in on a deal with former Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus to become their new defensive coordinator, marking a significant addition to Schottenheimer's staff.

As former Bears coach Matt Eberflus sets up his new staff as Cowboys defensive coordinator, he is taking two assistants with him. The Cowboys announced Wednesday that they hired linebackers coach Dave Borgonzi and safeties coach Andre Curtis to those same positions under Eberflus.
