Howard did not have the benefit of being able to throw to Emeku Ebugka, the Buckeyes star receiver who also made the decision to skip the combine workout. Had Howard been throwing to his Ohio State teammates, the quarterback's workout likely would have been more impressive.

It's a good sign for Hunter, who has been widely discussed in the top-five realm of the 2025 NFL Draft with some having him as the No. 1 pick, including Pro Football Focus in late January. Although Hunter won't participate in drills in Indianapolis, these measurements seem to be gaining a positive reaction Friday.
The Colorado star and potential No. 1 overall draft pick has opted not to throw at the combine this week in Indianapolis. Instead, according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Sanders “plans to focus on his interviews with teams” at the combine. He will then throw at his school's Pro Day ahead of the NFL Draft.
In those two seasons, Shedeur emerged as a savvy, talented and determined quarterback who last season threw for 4,134 yards, 37 TD passes and 10 INT. He was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year and won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, given annually to the best upperclassman quarterback in the country.
