The Dallas Cowboys have hired former offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer as the tenth head coach in franchise history.

Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer has two vets in Matt Eberflus as the defensive coordinator and Nick Sorensen as the special-teams coordinator ... and now he's got a guy considered to be an up-and-comer in Cardinals offensive line coach Klayton Adams.

After hiring Mike McCarthy’s old offensive coordinator, Brian Schottenheimer, as their new head coach, the Dallas Cowboys have begun the process of building out their coaching staff, with Matt Eberflus signing on as defensive coordinator marking the first shoe to drop in that process.

While new head coach Brian Schottenheimer will lead the offense, the Dallas Cowboys have added respected coaches for the defensive side of the ball.

Matt Eberflus was identified as the top candidate for the Cowboys' defensive coordinator position before the team officially hired Brian Schottenheimer as their head coach and Eberflus is now part of the organization as well.
