It was a rough go of it the last time out for the New Jersey Devils. A third period collapse against the Colorado Avalanche resulted in a 5-1 loss, and the Devils looked to get back to their winning ways in their first ever trip to Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Hockey Club.
SALT LAKE CITY, UT - In the first-ever game played in Utah for New Jersey, the Devils prevailed 3-1 at Delta Arena on Saturday night. Nico Hischier, Timo Meier and Curtis Lazar scored for the Devils while goalie Nico Daws stopped 24 of 25 shots.
Timo Meier scored the tiebreaking goal 14 seconds into the third period, and the Devils beat the Utah Hockey Club 3-1 on Saturday night.
The Utah Hockey Club lost to the New Jersey Devils on Saturday, completing their four-game homestand with a record of 3-1-0.
Riding the momentum of its dominant 6-1 victory over Minnesota Wild on Tuesday, Utah was brought back down to Earth after a 3-1 loss to the New Jersey Devils.
