NASCAR confirmed Friday that Helio Castroneves will be locked into the 2025 Daytona 500 field via the new open exemption provisional rule.

Four-time Indianapolis 500 champion Helio Castroneves will attempt to make the Feb. 16 Daytona 500, driving Trackhouse Racing’s Project 91 car, the team announced Monday. Castroneves will be a teammate to Trackhouse Racing drivers Ross Chastain, Daniel Suarez and Shane van Gisbergen.
