George Clooney has responded to President Donald Trump cheering the actor and wife Amal's decision to leave the United States and live in France.

In a statement, Clooney responded to Trump’s post, saying, “I totally agree with the current president. We have to make America great again. We’ll start in November.” In an interview with Variety, Clooney recalled being friendly with Trump before he entered elective politics.
