Knicks guard Jalen Brunson expected to miss time after suffering ankle injury in OT loss to Lakers
Brunson was ruled out after suffering his ankle injury Thursday night in the 113-109 overtime loss to the Lakers in Los Angeles. His initial X-rays Thursday came back negative, and it’s believed that he underwent further tests Friday. The Knicks (40-22) face the Clippers on Friday night in the second game of a back-to-back set at Crypto.com Arena.

LOS ANGELES — The Knicks basically treated Friday night’s defeat to the Clippers as a schedule loss. They were operating on the second night of a back-to-back with no tirme to prepare for the opponent or for a game without Jalen Brunson, who was injured the night prior .
The Knicks’ first game without Jalen Brunson went as expected: hard-fought until the end, where New York missed its captain and All-Star clutch performer.
The team has not given an expected timetable for Brunson’s return, opting to await the results of further testing.
