Saturday Night Live even got in on the fun this past weekend with Kenan Thompson perfectly parodying ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins—his beard, clothes, voice, the whole shebang—in a hilarious sketch. During the Weekend Update segment, Perkins started off by discussing why the Dallas Mavericks sent Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers.
While opinions on the Doncic-James duo vary, ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins has made a bold claim: The Lakers have saved the NBA. "Right now, the Los Angeles Lakers are saving the NBA." 😯 @KendrickPerkins is excited about the potential matchups in the NBA playoffs this season 👀 pic.twitter.com/SuUOvPXXdP
After the game, former NBA player-turned-analyst, Kendrick Perkins had a five-word response to the Lakers vs Clippers rivalry. "Luka still own the Clippers," Perkins tweeted. Let's talk about the two teams' rivalry in the past two seasons as the Purple and Gold are by far the better team if we consider their all-time record vs. the Clippers.
