Attorneys representing two families will file a wrongful death lawsuit against UPS for the Nov. 4 plane crash.

Families of victims who died in the UPS plane crash in Louisville filed the first wrongful death lawsuits on Wednesday.

One of the law firms handling the suits also represented some families whose loved ones died in the crash of Flight 5191 in Louisville.

The lawsuits allege negligence against UPS and UPS Air, according to the firms. The suits are also expected to name GE, the engine manufacturer; Boeing, which acquired McDonnell Douglas, the MD-11’s original manufacturer; and VT San Antonio Aerospace Inc., the company responsible for certain inspections and maintenance prior to the crash.
