The snow is coming to the Deep South, or so they say. It rarely snows in Alabama. If and when it does, God help us all. Something clicks in our brains, and it’s not good.
Most of north Alabama and parts of central Alabama resembled a winter wonderland Jan. 10 as a wave of cold weather brought snow and sleet to the Deep South.
These showers transitioned into freezing rain, sleet, and snow. Snow fell across Alabama between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. Warmer air entered Alabama, returning snow to sleet, freezing rain, and cold rain.
