With new cases cropping up around the country in recent weeks -- including in Quebec -- some health professionals say the trend is concerning.

A "school-aged" child in Lamoille County caught measles after traveling internationally, according to the Vermont health department. Public risk is reportedly low.

The Vermont Department of Public Health confirmed a measles case in a child from Lamoille County on Tuesday, following the child’s return from an international trip. The department says the child was isolated while contagious, reducing the risk to the public. It is continuing to investigate the case.
