While OpenAI’s Sora app remains exclusive to the US and Canada, users around the world are being hit with clones attempting to cash in on its hype.

Media reports citing figures from analytics firm Appfigures show that Sora was downloaded 56,000 times on the day of its launch, September 30. In 48 hours, it had been installed by 1,64,000 people.

The Sora 2 model and its accompanying app have only been out for a few days, but Sam Altman is learning some lessons.
