The Class 6A boys basketball state tournament kicked off on Wednesday with the first round of playoff games. The action will continue on Saturday in the second round, with games still played at the high seed.

Led by sophomore Johnny Lackaff, the Sailors will face the Windermere Wolverines in the Class 7A state semifinal. The winner will advance to the championship game on Saturday against either the Miami Columbus Explorers or the Sanford Seminole Seminoles.
