Dangerous cold will take over Siouxland Monday and Tuesday. Limit your time outdoors, if possible. If you must go out, be sure to layer up! Cover as much of yourself as possible because frostbite can start on exposed skin in less than 30 minutes. Additionally, take frequent breaks indoors if you do need to be outside.

The warming trend continues Friday. After a morning low in the teens, afternoon highs will climb to the mid-30s. Nighttime temperatures will remain chilly heading into the weekend, with lows Saturday morning in the upper teens to near 20. Saturday afternoon will see highs near 40.
