The Dubai airshow crash comes as a huge blow for not only Indias defence system but also the largest defence player of the country, Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL). The Maharatna PSU is the maker of Tejas aircraft.

Defence expert Capt Anil Gaur (Retd.) suggests that high g-forces may have caused the Tejas fighter jet crash during the Dubai Air Show 2025 by inducing a blackout in the pilot. IAF confirms pilot’s death and orders inquiry.

An Indian fighter aircraft, the indigenously developed Tejas Mk1A, crashed during a demonstration flight at the Dubai Air Show on Friday. The jet, developed by the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), crashed at about 2:10pm local time.

The Indian Air Force and Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on 21 November identified the pilot who lost his life in the HAL Tejas fighter jet crash at the Dubai Air Show 2025 today as Wing Commander Namansh Syal.
