Former Seahawks and UW offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb will become the new offensive coordinator for Alabama, reuniting with Kalen DeBoer, according to multiple sources on Sunday.

After being dismissed as Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator, Ryan Grubb reportedly has reunited with a familiar face. According to ESPN's Adam

DeBoer and Grubb built high-powered offenses together at previous stops, including Washington and Fresno State.

As Alabama moved to hire DeBoer to replace Nick Saban, Grubb was lined up to be the Tide’s offensive coordinator in 2024. But days after Alabama’s staff was overhauled, Grubb was hired by new Seattle coach Mike McDaniel to be the team’s offensive coordinator.

Jason Jones is now on staff for the Tide, helping coach defensive backs alongside Maurice Linguist, who largely focused on UA’s cornerbacks last season. He’s one of two additions to the staff, along with Chuck Morrell, who got a promotion to inside linebackers coach.
