Phoenix police investigating deadly hit-and-run: 'Car struck the man and then drove off'
Police are investigating what is believed to be a hit-and-run that left one man dead in north Phoenix. At about 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, Phoenix police officers responded to 41st Avenue and Thunderbird Road, where the man, whose identity has not been released, was found on the roadway.
A suspect is dead after being shot by Phoenix police. Police said the suspect pointed a gun at officers.
Phoenix Police is working an officer involved shooting in the area of 35th Ave and Baseline Rd. The suspect has been transported to a nearby hospital. There are no injuries to officers. A PIO is heading to the scene. Follow here for updates on this incident. pic.twitter.com/m7qsWpY2al

PHOENIX — A motorcycle rider died on Wednesday after colliding with an SUV on Wednesday, according to the Phoenix Police Department. Stephen Franklin, 55, was driving his motorcycle without a helmet in the area of Indian School Road and 23rd Avenue before the crash.
