Police are investigating what is believed to be a hit-and-run that left one man dead in north Phoenix. At about 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, Phoenix police officers responded to 41st Avenue and Thunderbird Road, where the man, whose identity has not been released, was found on the roadway.

Phoenix Police is working an officer involved shooting in the area of 35th Ave and Baseline Rd. The suspect has been transported to a nearby hospital. There are no injuries to officers. A PIO is heading to the scene. Follow here for updates on this incident. pic.twitter.com/m7qsWpY2al

Police say a pedestrian was hit and killed on Jan. 19 near 41st Avenue and Thunderbird Road. According to witnesses, the driver stopped briefly before fleeing the scene. If you have any information, you're asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
