Russian lawyer Anatoly Blinov has been arrested in Poland for allegedly organizing attacks on allies of Alexei Navalny.

A Russian man has been charged in Poland over a hammer attack in neighbouring Lithuania on a top aide of late Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny earlier this year, prosecutors said on Friday.

Soldiers and residents in southwestern Poland are laying sandbags near swollen rivers around the city of Wroclaw to protect homes and businesses after days of flooding across Central Europe.
