Apple has reportedly pulled iPadOS 18 for M4 iPad Pro devices, per MacRumors, over an update that is causing issues for some iPads.

Apple has halted the distribution of iPadOS 18 to models of the iPad Pro equipped with the M4 chip, after users reported the update was bricking their tablets.

Of course, this is the iPad Pro and it looks great, packs in a lot of power, and has an extremely impressive battery life. But do you really need all that?

In response to the iPadOS 18 bug, Apple has advised its technicians to try a force reset on affected iPads before considering device replacement. However, the company has not yet disclosed when a permanent fix will be available. Users who have not updated their M4 iPads are recommended to continue using iPadOS 17 for now.

The company told CNET the issue is affecting iPad Pro models with Apple's newer M4 processor. "We have temporarily removed the iPadOS 18 update for M4 iPad Pro models as we work to resolve an issue that is impacting a small number of devices," Apple said in a statement.
