Whatcom County has confirmed its first case of measles for 2025, according to a June 20 news release from Whatcom County Health and Community Services (WCHCS).

The department says it is working to identify possible locations the person visited and will contact anyone who might’ve been exposed.

This month, the number of measles cases reported in California so far in 2025 jumped above the total for all of 2024.
