People in the Walker Woods were evacuated over the weekend and were allowed to return to their homes on Monday.
The largest wildfire is burning near the Myrtle Beach area. That fire is around 16,000 acres and is 30% contained.
The driver, identified by the Horry County Coroner’s Office as 31-year-old Darius Holmes, was the only person in the car.
