Diogo Jota, when fit, is an important player for Liverpool who often comes up with big goals. The Portuguese star can be prone to injuries, however, causing Arne Slot to prefer other options to start up front in his side.

Arne Slot says that Diogo Jota will be out for “weeks rather than months” after the Liverpool attacker suffered another agonising injury setback. The Portugal international missed Saturday’s dramatic win at Brentford after complaining of discomfort in a muscle following the midweek draw with Nottingham Forest.

However, as with any player, there are areas of Jota’s game that could be improved, and speaking to ESPN, the Liverpool star has claimed that he’d love to steal one of Darwin Nunez’s attributes. Indeed, the striker says that he wishes he was as quick as Nunez, claiming that the Uruguayan’s pace allows him to make things look so much easier.

Liverpool return to Champions League action when they host Lille at Anfield on Tuesday night but will be without the injured Diogo Jota.
