The No. 2 Hawkeyes lost their fourth straight dual to No. 1 Penn State, which doesn’t sit well for the program or its supporters. The last time Iowa dropped more than three consecutive duals to the same Big Ten program was from 1963-68 when Michigan won six straight against the Hawkeyes.

The No.1 ranked Penn State Nittany Lions hosted the No.2 ranked Iowa Hawkeyes in a possible means wrestling championship preview at the Bryce Jordan Center in State College, PA, on Friday, Jan. 31, 2025.

Iowa and Penn State have split two previous No. 1 vs. No. 2 meetings. Some newer Hawkeyes will get their first taste of the rivalry Friday in State College, Pa.
