GREENBURGH — As they got ready Sunday morning to face the struggling Nashville Predators at Madison Square Garden, part of the Rangers’ preparation was trying to assimilate two new guys, young forward Juuso Parssinen and veteran defenseman Calvin de Haan, into their lineup.

Blueshirts send Ryan Lindgren, Jimmy Vesey and the rights to Hank Kempf to Colorado

The New York Rangers acquired Juuso Parssinen in the trade that sent Ryan Lindgren and Jimmy Vesey to the Colorado Avalanche as that was a calculated move by Blueshirts president and general manager Chris Drury. Parssinen was not just a throw-in player in this deal. The Rangers have reportedly had an interest in Parssinen for a long time.
